County end season with defeat.

Warwickshire suffered a dissapointing 19-17 defeat in the final fixture versus Kent. A great start to the weekend which saw us go 11-7 up after the B games 3-3 Ladies and 8-4 Men. Match awards on the Saturday went to Donna Pinch and Rob Hawker. Sunday saw a 4-2 defeat for the A Ladies with Sue Gulliver LOM then an 8-4 defeat for the Men after going 3-0 up, many good games though which reflected in good averages. Nigel Heydon again topping them for the County A side.

Tables have been uploaded upon here as have the fixtures for the new season.

Coventry Bishopsgate at the Double.

Coventry Bishopsgate completed a fine double act after winning the Annual KO Cup for the Warwickshire Superleague. All this after they had taken their first ever league title. The final week was a wait and see time for the Cov lads after they had completed their fixtures some two weeks prior. Rugby finished a tight second with the same amount of Points but under the ruling of Bonus Points being the next call Coventry took the title. This season has been the toughest league for many a year with up to Five teams pushing to the very end. All the new Tables and averages will be uploaded after the weekend. The Cup was also a very tight affair with Coventry Bishopsgate having to beat Shirley Red Lion, Long Itchington and Leamington before winning by the odd game over Sutton Sports in this years final.

Last Fixture for 2012-2013 season

Warwickshire complete their season this weekend with a home fixture versus Kent. The two sides have had some thrilling games over the past few years culminating in the said County surviving Relegation to Division One. Two seasons ago it came down to a last leg win by Tommy Aldridge in beating Lee Mant to keep the Bears in the Premier whilst last season saw Kent pull off a miraculous comeback after being 12-6 down they produced a 5-1 Ladies A win and a 10-2 Mens A win which also saw them survive the dreaded drop. This season sees both Counties safe from the drop after they had both registered some hefty victories.

The action kicks off on the Saturday at 12 noon with the B teams. Entry for the weekend is a small cost of £4 per person.

Those unable to see both days will be able to keep up with the action via DFW – Warwickshire vs Kent
