The Bears suffered a defeat at the hands of Devon who were perilously close to a relegation back to the 1st Division. However Devon belied their lowly position and played superbly to take both of the B games and drawing the A games. Lady of the Match was Marian Conway other winner was Denise Keyte. Match award in the Mens was Carl Green who claimed it with a 0.01 better average than Matt Edgar. Ladies A took a tough and well earned point in the Ladies with Sue Gulliver taking the award. Jamie Hughes was the match award winner with a superb 32.32. Overall result being 20-16. The County still kept their position of Fourth in the BICC Premier Division.
We are losing two officials at the end of the season.

The Executive are now considering possible candidates for these positions in the 2016-2017 season.

May we thank both for their efforts for the County and wish them all the very best.

Four players from the County battled their way through a tough night of darts to claim their places in the National Finals on July 2nd in Manchester for the BDO Gold Cup. The first time ever that each County can send multiple players in this event which many Counties have often enquired about. In Group one Mark Westgarth hardly put a foot wrong as he defeated Mark Strong 4-1, Jamie Hughes also commanded his board until the final where he defeated Ant Childs of Rugby who had earlier won against Mark Carter, Ian McFarlane and Tommy Ryan. Group three saw Carl Green defeat team mate Kishan Jiwa. Board Four was also a tough challenge for all but eventually Dickie Foster defeated team mate Mangal Singh. Tonight sees the Ladies hold their qualifiers whilst the mens pairs is scheduled for the 14th April.
