Jamie Hughes produced a brilliant 136 Finish in the fifth leg to put paid to his Opponent Steve Alker from Wales which secured England the British International Championships. Played at the home of Glamorgan County the Pennydarren Social Club in Merthyr Tydfil Jamie had won his game when playing Scotland the day previous. England had drawn overall in their clash with Scotland but then Wales had a tougher time when also facing Scotland later in the evening losing out 8-4. This meant England needed to win by the same scoreline of 8-4 or Scotland would take the title. England were victorious with some stunning games with their running average of 28.35.
