The county got rid of a long standing bug when defeating Kent in their final fixture of the 2014-15 season. Kent have been curse against the County often pulling out results that defied the form. No bother this year as the Ladies B took a fine 4-2 win with wins from Lisa Whitmore, Kirsty Haw, Kat Spanswick and a LOM show from Kerry Bambridge 23.68. All set up for the Mens B and Antony Allen fired in a 29.13 4-2 win to start the ball rolling, further wins came from Carl Green, Prakash Jiwa, Steve Ward, Dave Harris, Jimmy Hill and a MOM off Matt Edgar with a 29.91 which concludes a brilliant season for him with a top position in the overall B averages in the BICC. Ladies A got off to a winning start on their first ever LIVE TV match, Denise Keyte taking a 3-1 win, other winners were Wendy Adams and a superb LOM of 28.90 from Sue Gulliver. Mens A looked on paper to be very strong but Kent would also look to try and spoil once again. Winners were Mark Strong, Rob Hawker, Dickie Foster, Mark Westgarth, Noel Grant, Jamie Hughes and a MOM from Bobby Nixon with a 27.03. Overall a 21.15 win which secured a final position of 5th. A season of mixed fortunes where we won all fixtures at home and only took one win from our away fixtures. We lose Kent and Glamorgan from the Division for next season whilst we gain Hampshire and Devon.
The County wish to thank all that have helped this season, Officials, Players, Sponsors, Supporters. And we look forward again to a new season.
