Trina Gulliver survived in a tense first round match against Dee Bateman of Yorkshire. Winning the first set in quick time, 18,17 and 21 darts put her in a commanding position but then lost focus and the next set to nil. Losing the first and third legs of the final set it needed a tie break leg of which Trina dominated to break the bad streak and see her through to a quarter final match versus defending champion Lisa Ashton. This match is the final match of the Thursday Afternoon Session.
