County in top form in the Valleys

The County went to town when taking on their hosts Glamorgan in the latest fixture within the UKDA Premier Division.

Always a tough place to travel to the Ladies kicked the weekend with a hard fought 4-2 win. Good wins from Denise Keyte, Courtney Hine, Kacie O Connor and a LOM from Nina Bolt.

With a great start to the weekend the Lads were tasked with a tough encounter aswell but they got through extremely well, although Glamorgan lads might feel a tad unlucky in a few games it ended 8-4 in favour of the Bears, Wins from Mark Strong, Karl Reynolds, Jnr Joyce, Taylor McGuckian on his Senior debut, Mark Martin, Dave Hill and a super 30 ave MOM from Ryan Jackson.

12-6 up overnight and the Ladies would face a Glamorgan side which contains two Welsh Ladies Internationals both of whom were in top form, the girls came out admirably with a solid 3-3 draw. Wins from Marian Conway, Wendy Adams and a LOM from Hannah Meek who saw off Eve Watson one of the Internationals on show 3-2 in a tense tussle.

Always an encounter with the Mens A that shows strengths all round. The strengths this time were with the Bears as they roared a 9-3 victory, wins were from Danny Lauby despite being slightly jaded from UK Open, Sam Whittaker, Wayne Mynard, Jamie Hughes, Nigel Heydon, Matty Washbrooke, Kevin Dowling, Noel Grant on his 100th win for the Bears and a brilliant 31.00 from Steve Hine.

Top match coming up next for the Bears with a home fixture versus Yorkshire.
