Leamington’s Nigel Heydon re-wrote the record books with the Highest Recorded Single Dart Average since the League began.
Whilst playing Long Itchington in week Thirteen of the 2012-2013 season, Nigel achieved his average of 41.75 (125.25) per throw with legs in 11,11 and 14 darts.
Leg One: 140,140,140 and 81 in 2 darts.
Leg Two: 57,140,140,140 and 24 in 2 darts
Leg Three 140,180,81 and 100 in 2 darts.
Nigel says that he feels there maybe more to come but to maintain that sort of average would be tough but he has come close to a few 9 darters in Practice. He says a 9 darter in the Superleague would be fantastic.
Nigel Continues that his new stance taken up just lately has helped in some way with less pressure on his back, but his new Darts setup are working very well and obviously contributed to his achievement last night.
All at the County offer our congratulations to Nigel and hope to see more.
In the January edition of Darts World Nigel receives the Runner Up award for Player of the Month.
