The County AGM took place on thursday 12th August via a Zoom call. In this meeting a brief discussion took place regarding the Squads announced for the first fixture in Yorkshire.
The meeting also had a report from General Secretary Angela Jones on the recent UKDA AGM that took place in Leicester on 8th August. EDO discussions and the Magic Weekend were reported on and the actual cost that will be incurred by the County and the Premier Division on the whole. The Executive are slightly worried about the weekend and are seeking further discussions with other Counties and the Directors of the UKDA.
A vote then took place on the vacant position of Mens Selector for the forthcoming season. Whilst there was only one candidate it is the protocol to take the vote, this was a unanimous vote for the appointment of Dave Albrighton of Coventry Lime Tree. Dave will assume his position for the new season and we as a committee look forward to our working with Dave on the selecting side and also the officiating at the Bears Fixtures.
There was also the vote for the Chairman on the two year voting system, again only one for the vote but Linda Howe the treasurer asked for the vote and again Neil Pritchard was voted in unanimously to Chair the County in what will be his 22nd season as the Chairman.
We now look forward to getting underway in the new organisation and National League where we hope to continue from where we left off in 2019.
