Tommy Aldridge hammered home a brilliant 32.49 which saw the County leave Cambridgeshire with a hard earned 20-16 victory. The win has also pushed the County into third place in the BICC Premier Division. Ladies B had a great win on the Saturday with that being the first defeat for Cambridge B ladies. Angela Jones taking the Ladies award, other wins from Melanie Hill, Donna Pinch and Kat Spanswick. Mens B also had a great win with a vintage show from Tommy McGlone who smashed a 29.17 for the Mens award. Ladies A suffered a bad 5-1 defeat from a strong Cambs Ladies. Trina Gulliver the sole winner. Mens A were up against a very determined Cambs side with them hitting many maximums. 12 in total. But the show belonged to Aldridge who despite losing the first leg then reeled off 17-12-14 and 15 dart legs to record the highest average in the Premier Division. With this form we could and should be seeing Tommy taking his International spot once again.
