Warwickshire took a superb victory in their last UKDA fixture of 2022. Last two games the Bears have suffered significant Mens A losses but a 9-3 win put paid to any jitters that may have been in the players minds. An overall 23-13 over Cornwall.
Weekend kicked off with a 4-2 Ladies B win with wins from Nina Bolt, Angela Jones, Courtney Hine and a 2nd LOM from Hannah Meek with a 20.20.
Mens B looked like it was going to be one of them days with the first four games going in the favour of our visitors with all the games ending 4-3. But a superb 8 game winning streak sealed the day for the B lads, wins from Noah Rose, Nigel Heydon, Dave Hill, Ian McFarlane, Mark Strong, Mark Martin, Scott Hope and a superb 29.07 MOM from Mark Carter.
Ladies A were held back with a 4-2 loss but credit goes to the Cornwall ladies who produced a display of brilliant finishing. Winners were Donna Pinch and Tammy Montgomery LOM 21.25.
The final section of the weekend saw the Mens A take the game 9-3 with a great heavy scoring show with wins from Kevin Dowling who created history as the leading 180 scorer for the Bears with his latest one taking him to 90 overall, Tom Martin, Gareth Braham, Matty Washbrooke, Chris Wickenden, Noel Grant, Jamie Hughes, Steve Hine and a MOM from Jamie Atkins 30.83.
Bears travel in the new year to London.
