Warwickshire started the new UKDA regime off with a stunning victory over perennial Champions Yorkshire.
Two great 5-1 wins for the Ladies teams over the weekend, this certainly gave the County so much impetus to obtain the overall result. Lady of the match in Ladies B was Marian Conway with an 18.33 whilst Natalie Gilbert took the Ladies award with a brilliant 25.05.
Whilst the Mens B took an 8-4 defeat there were some great darts throughout. Winners were Wayne Mynard, Matty Washbrooke, Mark Strong and MOM Tom Martin 27.35.
Mens A went into a superb 6-1 lead with some excellent shows along the way, Prakash Jiwa, Tom Martin, Mark Strong, Steve Hine, Nigel Heydon and MOM Jamie Atkins with a 29.41. Yorkshire hit back by taking the final five games of the day meaning the overall score 23-16 in the Bears favour.
Onto next month and a home fixture vs Essex.
