Warwickshire withstood a tough battle with Essex when being entertained in Chelmsford for the latest BICC Premier Division Fixture. Weekend went off with a 4-2 loss for the Ladies, many missed doubles hit the County hard, Marian Conway and LOM Tammy Montgomery 22.25 taking the wins. A good hardfought win for the Mens B against an up and coming Essex side with a few making the County debuts. Gareth Braham 28.63 taking the MOM award. Ladies A were held to a draw with wins coming from Donna Pinch, Angela Jones and a LOM from Natalie Gilbert 21.78. Mens A were facing a very determined Essex A side and stood after the first three games pointless but some solid shows saw us take the next seven games with Steve Hine the pick of these with a brilliant 31.94 MOM. Overall a 20-16 win which sees the County maintain their third place in the table. Next up is a home fixture against Glamorgan 29th Feb 1st March.
