Two Coventry teams made their way up to Rotherham’s Magna Centre to take part in the UKDA Champions Cup day where all Counties Superleague Champions are invited to the event.
The Men from Coventry Parkstone were pitted in a tough group with teams representing Kent, Somerset, Suffolk and Leicester. The Cov lads took a bad loss to Suffolk but bounced back to take wins over Somerset, Kent and Leicester. The three wins saw them take second spot in the group and with the rule changing on the day that two top teams qualify for the last 16 stage. In that they suffered a heavy 7-0 loss to Collier Row of Essex.
The Ladies were in a group of three teams and managed the one win over the team representing Essex but lost out to Staffordshire’s team. They also made their way into the last 16 but lost out to Edmonton of London.
