Warwickshire returned from their latest BICC fixture away at Lincolnshire with a much needed and richly deserved victory. Lincolnshire have in the past three years have had the Bears in a stranglehold but this was extinguished firmly.
Although the start of the weekend saw the Bears lose in the Ladies B with a 5-1 scoreline. Nina Bolt taking the Ladies award after a hard fought 3-2 win.
Mens B fought out a tough 6-6 draw with many missing vital doubles that may have given us a better start over the weekend. Wayne Mynard taking the MOM with it being his first award.
Ladies A were up against a tough opponent with Lincs being near on top of the Ladies A section. Bears taking the 1st three games with Sue Gulliver taking the award.
Mens A were brilliant from the very start taking 11 of the 12 games, Ian Shaw being the only loser but he fought out a great battle with Nick Fulwell. And once again a very high running average with Jamie Hughes being the award winner.
We now go on to the next encounter with a home fixture against Lancashire.
