Warwickshire came away from the latest BICC fixture versus Cheshire a little dissapointed after suffering a narrow defeat. Missed Doubles galore in the Ladies B with the first four games going in the favour of the Cats, three of these games went the full distance. Winners were Wendy Adams and LOM Natalie Gilbert with a 19.82. Mens B fared better with a haul of 7 games in total. Winners being Mark Archer, Simon Power, Antony Allen, Carl Green, Graham Hall, Peter Hughes and MOM Mark Strong with 25.28. Ladies A also had a touch of the jitters when missing doubles and thus suffered a heavy 5-1 loss. Trina Gulliver winning with a 22.77 to take the solitary point. Mens A hoped to continue their winning ways and Noel Grant and Tommy Aldridge took the first two games well then Mark Westgarth also fought out a good win to put us 3-0 up, two dissapointing losses from Ian McFarlane and Tommy McGlone but Jamie Hughes held nerve to take his game in a 7 leg tussle. Dave Harris did not have the same luck also going 7 legs after being 3 down, Rob Hawker produced a game of pure magic which took the Match award and also the highest in the Premier Division, at time of press it was unsure as to whether it was the highest throughout the BICC. Dave Sanders took out a great game with 3 maximums in a 4-2 win but then tow losses from Jamie Atkins and Dean Stewart. Final game Dickie Foster was in trouble being 3-1 down but an attempt at a 9 darter with Dickie just missing his shot at 45 with his eighth dart, still going out in 12 and then a final steady leg where he never looked in any trouble. Total points of 17 over the weekend. Next trip is down to Wales where we face Gwent.
