County take tough encounter.

The Bears had a tough weekend with promoted Lincolnshire over the weekend. Ladies B had one of them days where the wheels were certainly came off with a 4-2 loss, going 4-0 down but making a recovery with last two recording wins. Caroline Pike and Wendy Adams with a LOM 18.79. A bit for the lads to bring us back up but they did not disappoint with a solid 7-5 victory. Luke Kennedy hitting great ground with a superb 29.47, he was followed well by Antony Allen, Will Naylor, Matt Edgar, Prakash Jiwa, Carl Green and a brilliant MOM show from Ashley Hykin with a 31.81. 9 each overnight. Ladies A would look to gain early control but losses from Sue Gulliver and Angela Jones saw us go two down again but then three straight wins from Denise Keyte, Trina Gulliver LOM 23.12 and Kat Spanswick put us in the lead for the first time over the weekend. Melanie Hill performed well but lost out 3-1 to the visitors LOM. Time for the Mens A to attempt to grab the match overall which was done in great style with an 8-4 victory. Wins coming from Noel Grant, Jamie Atkins, Mark Carter, then in the 2nd half Mark Strong, Rob Hawker, Mark Westgarth MOM with a 30.36, Kevin Dowling and a final game win from Jamie Hughes. After this result the County find themselves fourth overall which carries on from where we were last season. Next game for the Bears is an away fixture in Lancashire in January of the New Year.
