Many Warwickshire players made the journey again today to the Magna Centre in Rotherham where the Finals of the UKDA National Singles and Doubles took place.
Ladies were represented by Donna Pinch and Wendy Adams in the Singles, Wendy bowing out in the last 128 whilst Donna lost out in the last 64. Meanwhile the Pairs saw Maria Collins and Sally Hodges lose out in the last 128 whilst Donna Pinch and Marian Conway made a gallant effort before losing out in the last eight.
Men were represented in the Pairs by Rob Hawker and Wayne Mynard and Tamworth’s Adam Wood and Mark Martin but both lost out to strong pairings in the last 32.
Singles we saw Carl Green lose out 4-3 to Scott Mitchell in the last 256, Rob Hawker lose out to Chris Dobey also in last 256, Wayne Mynard also lost out in last 256. Jamie Atkins gained a route to the next round but lost out to Cheshire’s Danny Ayres who was sitting on a 120 average after the 1st two legs. Jack Wareing lost out in the 128 losing out to Steven Beasley. Noel Grant made his way through the field with some steady shows only to bow out at the last 8 stage where he lost out to Yorkshire’s Tom Sykes.
