The Bears once again continued their rich vein of form with a brilliant overall victory when being hosted by Yorkshire.
The weekend was commenced with a fine 4-2 Ladies win with wins from Nina Bolt, Wendy Adams from 2-0 down, Angela Jones and a LOM from Chloe McKivett Saunders 19.27.
A 7-5 defeat for the Mens B with again a few missed chances throughout which would have put a different picture into the whole weekend, Wins from Mark Carter, Will Naylor, Dave Hill, Adam Hancock and a MOM from Martin Tonks 29.39.
Ladies A fought out a 3-3 draw with wins from Kirsty Hinchcliffe, Marian Conway, and a LOM from Courtney Hine 21.61.
There then followed what was probably one of the greatest performances from the Mens A with them achieving a running average of 28.39. 24 Maximums scored by both teams. The wins coming from Jenson Walker, Nigel Heydon, Danny Lauby on his debut, Sam Whittaker, Matty Washbrooke who was 3-1 down and in the final leg his opponent had a chance of a 9er produced a superb 160 finish which raised the roof, Steve Hine who also had his opponent on a 9er but missed his doubles and the rest is history, Jack Wareing and a MOM from Kevin Dowling 31.44 where he produced finishes of 110 and 157 and also completed his 100th maximum for the County.
This was truly a superb performance from all concerned and one that will live in the memory.
