Trina Gulliver the 10 times Ladies World Champion and current holder of the title bowed out of this years event at the expense of Aileen De Graaf whom she had overcome in last years Semi Final. Trina never really got going in the first set until the third leg where she posted a 16 dart leg aided by a maximum 180. Taking the 1st leg of the 2nd set in 20 Trina looked to push on but to no avail.
