Jamie Hughes came back from two sets to Nil down to force a final ninth set decider which he took by three legs to one after Martin Adams had missed three darts at the double. In the 1st set Jamie had averaged 34 with a 12 dart leg but lost it 3-1, second set saw again a high average of 33 but a loss of 3-0 saw him struggling but a fighting set in the third where he found himself 2-0 down but took the next three legs. Fourth set saw him hit a stunning 37 average but losing 3-0. The next three sets were bossed by Jamie to go into a 4-3 sets lead, Adams took the 8th with a 3-1 legs win. This then saw the decider which incidentally saw the lowest set average posted by both players but Hughes stood to the task and ended Wolfies push for a Fourth World Title. Jamie now awaits the winner of the Durrant/ Labanauskas battle to see who he faces in the Semi Finals.
