The Bears ended their season with a superb 24-12 win over the beleaguered London who were relegated prior to this fixture. There was also another Mens A title for the Bears for the second season running. The Ladies A also came extremely close to their A title but lost out by two games overall.
Ladies B had a tough match that ended 3-3 with wins from Clare Greenwood, Nina Bolt and a LOM from Donna Pinch 20.46.
Mens B had to bounce back after a pretty poor display in their last match and they did it in style with an 8-4 victory courtesy of wins from Mark Carter, Sam Price, Adam Hancock, Mark Faulkner, Karl Reynolds, Mark Martin, Zac Prince and MOM from Mark Strong 25.08 with two great ton plus finishes.
Going into the Ladies A 11-7 up was a great lift as they continued the theme with a fine 4–2 win, with winners being Marian Conway, Natalie Gilbert, Hannah Meek and a super 22.77 LOM from Wendy Adams.
Full permutations and calculations had been made prior to the weekend so the A lads were aware of what was needed. Wayne Mynard, Sam Whittaker, Matty Washbrooke, Jack Wareing, Kevin Dowling, Nigel Heydon Danny Lauby, Steve Hine and a brilliant 31.81 from Jamie Hughes MOM.
