Sad news reached the County last night with the news that Johnny Pears had passed away after a short illness. Johnny would be remembered from the very early years of the County with 9 appearances in the mid to late 70s, he played Superleague up until the mid 90s but will be remembered for his prowess in the local leagues especially the Sheldon League. We send our deepest sympathies to all the family at this sad time. RIP Johnny.
