The Bears returned from their latest trip in Essex with a 20-16 defeat.
The weekend started so well with the Ladies B going into a 2-0 lead courtesy of Denise Keyte and Wendy Adams 20.59 LOM, but four straight losses put the Bears on the backfoot.
A 7-5 win for the B lads with some great wins, with Mark Faulkner, Will Naylor, Dave Hill, Karl Reynolds, Adam Hancock, Carl Green and a MOM from Martin Tonks 30.83.
Another loss in the Ladies A then put our hosts two points ahead with wins from Courtney Hine and a LOM from Natalie Gilbert 23.17.
Mens A who were seeking as many points as possible were pushed back and suffered a 7-5 loss and this puts them one behind leaders Lancashire in Mens A table. Wins came from Steve Hine, Kevin Dowling, Sam Whittaker, Jack Wareing and a MOM from Jamie Atkins which sees him sat on top of the Premier Table Mens A averages.
A 20-16 loss for the bears but still we remain in third position due to other results going our way.
Our final fixture sees us take on Staffordshire in June at the Hen Lane Club.
