Rob Hawker of Castle Vale teamed up with Mike McFall of Sutton Sports to take the Warwickshire round of the BDO Gold Cup. Winning their Final 4 legs to 2 over Long Itchington Pairing of Simon Power and Steve Ward. 14 Pairs were the total entered on the night. Last years champions Tommy Ryan and Antony Allen were seeking another Lakeside trip but their hopes were shattered when facing the pairing of Steve Giddings – Coventry Bishopsgate and Ian McFarlane of Sutton Sports. The result ending in a 4-3 scoreline but a tremendous game overall. Losing semi-finalists were Paul Deslandes and Dave Harris who lost out to Power/Ward. Hawker and Mcfall saw off Leamingtons Mark Strong and Dave Sanders. Finals for this event are June 29th at Lakeside Country Club Frimley Green Surrey.
