The next season of the UKDA National League is once again around with Warwickshire again taking their place amongst the elite of the Counties within the Premier Division.
The County held their annual AGM at the Hen Lane Club on Sunday 10th August 2025. We start the season with an extremely poor entry into both Superleague’s with only a Handful in the Men’s for this season whilst the Ladies again carry on with four teams.
At the meeting the delegates voted in unanimously our new General Secretary Marian Conway, Marian was co-opted during the latter part of the last season and was required to be allotted during this meeting. We now look forward to seeing Marian continue her hard work and settle into the position going forward.
Also once again it was the turn of the Chairman being voted upon and with nobody else putting themselves forward the current Chairman Neil Pritchard was once again voted in unanimously for another two year term, however it was stated by Neil his desire to step down after one year from all positions within the Organisation. This will be the 26th year as Chairman of the County and apart from a few years off it nearly 30 years as Superleague Secretary. This is now the time that the Organisation finds itself new blood to take on the task of Chairing this great County.
We start the season with an away fixture in Cornwall and embark on again a ten match/ eleven date season which Warwickshire as a County have been instrumental in proposing a reduction in the playing season, the proposal being that the divisions within the UKDA National League being reduced to 9 Teams per division thus creating a sixth division. This was voted for with a large majority and will be finalised with options as to how to deal with the distribution of teams within each division.
We look forward to another great season of County Darts and we seek our third Mens A division title in succession and also seek further betterment with all our other teams this season. We have some new players taking to the stage for the Bears and we lose some others we wish them all the very best in future and hope to see them return in the not too distant future.
